MORE ABOUT BELLYCASTING…
Bellycasting is the creation of a plaster mold of a pregnant
woman's torso and serves as a wonderful keepsake for the
mother-to-be. It is usually done between the 37th and 40th
week of pregnancy. Some moms choose to do multiple
bellycasts to progressively capture their bellies at
different stages of growth along the way.
Bellycasting is a fun activity that can be shared by mommy
and daddy and also provides an opportunity for the father
to bond with the baby.
Photographs are only able to capture a flat 2-dimensional
image, whereas a bellycast can capture this special moment
in 3-D! Your bellycast will be something you will truly
treasure forever.
OUR BELLYCASTING KITS…
Belly Forever bellycasts are quite simple to make since all
of the casting material is ready to use - there is no mixing
of messy materials required.
Each bellycasting kit contains everything you need to create
your masterpiece:
· 9 rolls of plaster (app. 20 sq.ft)
· jar of petroleum jelly
· pair of latex gloves
· drop cloth to protect working area
· sanding screen for smoothing
· easy-to-follow instructions
WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH YOUR FINISHED
BELLYCAST…
It is completely up to you how you decorate your finished
Belly Forever bellycast. Some moms leave it as is and hang
it on the the wall in the nursery. Others paint a design
on it or decorate it by sticking on some photographs,
dried flowers, or anything else they may desire. One idea
is to wait until baby is born and decorate the cast with
baby's handprints and footprints. Some moms even have
their bellycasts bronzed (or you could just give it a
metallic look with silver or gold paint). Do with it
whatever your heart desires. It is your piece of art -
your own masterpiece!
